"Smart" option for managing energy consumption

Colombia. Whatever a company, in the XXI century it must be aware that having an energy strategy is a sine qua non condition to be competitive in the market. However, controlling energy consumption is not always an easy task. SMEs are more vulnerable to the ups and downs of the market, so it is essential that they reach a balance in expenses to carry out an efficient productive activity from which they can derive benefits.

The keys to achieving this objective lie in knowing the best energy consumption system for the type of production, a detailed analysis of the company itself and its service to be able to choose the rate that best suits the needs of each company and the availability of tools to regulate energy activity.

To choose the best rate it is necessary to know in detail what is needed, in what quantity and for which departments. Axpo proposes the eOpener application, an "intelligent" option for managing energy consumption that allows you to track the company's expenditure and savings in a graphic, practical and simple way, from any mobile device. The application, aimed especially at small and medium-sized companies, allows to know through simple color graphs the figures and percentages of consumption and measure in real time the equipment and possibilities of the company.  In this way, when consumption is analyzed, the company will be able to decide which electricity tariff best suits its needs, compare spending in different periods of time, develop an energy strategy that optimizes resources and energy and define how to benefit from all this.

Once the type of service needed has been evaluated, it is time to choose the right energy rate. Those SMEs for which energy consumption is a variable cost perceive to a greater extent the benefits of carrying out a monthly record of expenses and energy savings through eOpener.

Aware of this reality that companies live, Axpo offers SMEs transparent, flexible tariffs, so that their energy consumption is the least of their problems in the market.

In line with this philosophy, the multinational offers four contract possibilities: the Easy tariff, which is characterized by a fixed monthly payment independent of electricity fluctuations; the Control tariff, which allows you to pay the actual OMIE market price for hourly energy; the Control Guaranteed tariff, which combines the above with a fixed price of expenses such as tolls or cost overruns; the Intelligent tariff, which allows energy consumption to be optimized to the maximum.

Contracting an Axpo tariff also means betting on renewable energy. The multinational, guided by its sustainable commitment to the environment, has the largest portfolio of renewable energy plants in the country. Speaking in figures: more than 7,500 MW of green power throughout the vast peninsular territory. This commitment receives annually the certificate of the National Commission of Markets and Competition, a distinction that can also be enjoyed by SMEs that are nourished by their energy sources while reducing their environmental impact.
