Colombia. The city of Manizales has the first social housing project in Colombia to obtain an international Edge sustainability certificate. This is the Alegra complex, which is part of Tierraviva Biociudadela, an environmentally friendly urban complex that construcciones CFC&A is advancing.
This preliminary Edge certificate is awarded for excellence in designs, materials and construction processes with international sustainability parameters. According to Camacol, this is the fourth project in Colombia to receive this certification with the seal of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a subsidiary of the World Bank.
"The apartments include many sustainable building practices such as energy-efficient lighting, low-flow faucets, as well as on-site reinforced concrete ceilings and walls, which ensure the comfort and sustainability of residents," according to the review of the project published on its official site by the certifier Edge Buildings.
