In José Vicente Zapata 337 of Ciudad, meters from the Central House, the new sustainable building of OSEP was inaugurated. The official opening ceremony was attended by the governor of the province, Alfredo Cornejo; the Undersecretary of Health, Oscar Sagás; the mayor of Capital, Rodolfo Suárez; and the Director General of OSEP, Sergio Vergara, along with other authorities, staff and affiliates.
This new building is a structure designed specifically to improve health care to which are added sustainable practices that reduce operating costs such as energy consumption and non-renewable resources, contributing to the quality of the environment.
Among many features, the modern building of the Obra Social has a gray water treatment plant, that is, the water from the sinks passes through a treatment plant and is incorporated into the backpacks of the toilets granting a second useful use.
Following this ecological line, a Photovoltaic Panel System has been placed on the terrace. It is an energy source that produces electricity of renewable origin obtained directly from solar radiation. Thus, the Obra Social will achieve more than 20% savings in electrical energy.
It also has an eificiente elevator that works with monitored tapes of low consumption, which reduces friction points achieving significant energy savings. In addition, this type of technology allows the elevator to operate up to 10 times in the event of a power outage.
