NCR Corporation announced that its global headquarters in Midtown Atlanta has been awarded two Platinum Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Leadership certifications for building design and construction: Core & Shell and commercial interior design and construction. In partnership with Cousins Properties and other project partners, NCR's innovative global headquarters is one of the first projects to receive two of the highest levels of LEED certification for the same building.

"Earning two LEED Platinum certifications demonstrates our commitment to providing our employees with efficient, productive and healthy workplaces, which is why we are proud to be one of the first to earn this certification."

NCR earned LEED Platinum certifications to implement practical and measurable strategies and solutions aimed at achieving high performance in: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, material selection and indoor environmental quality. During interior construction, more than 87 percent of construction waste was recycled. The building is expected to use 35 percent less water and 30 percent less energy than a typical office. The building achieved the LEED Platinum badge for both the renovation of the Core and Shell exterior, as well as the Commercial Interior.
