Recently, a census process was carried out on data on buildings with more than five floors in the Adela Zamudio Commune of the Bolivian capital, in which it was revealed that 40% of the owners of buildings build more levels than they have authorized.
This was assured by the deputy mayor of the commune, Enrique Soria, and stressed that this is precisely the most recurrent lack in the construction, "the finished building does not appear as seen in the plan."
For this fault the owners must pay a considerable fine. "Most people legalize plans of seven-story buildings and when we see the building has nine," Soria said.
At the time of these statements, the progress of the census was 60% and it is expected that by mid-May the process will be completely completed. To avoid sanctions, Soria recommended that the ideal is that the owners of the buildings that have not yet been registered, once they are notified, present documentation consistent with the reality of the property.
