During the annual meeting held by the Radisson Hotels International Latin America chain that this year took place in San José de Costa Rica, in which the 22 hotels belonging to the firm in the region meet, the awards were given to the most outstanding properties and business sessions were held with companies and travel agencies where the establishments presented their products were given, services and news.
The event was attended by the general managers, sales directors and the main representatives of each of the brand's hotels in Latin America.
The properties that received recognition and awards this year were: the Radisson Hotel & Suites Guatemala City with the Revenue Award, the Radisson Plaza Santiago received the Best Overall Performance Award, the Radisson Hotel San José-Costa Rica the Most Improved Award, the Radisson Royal Bogotá the Guest Satisfaction Award and the Radisson Royal Quito Hotel the Responsible Business Winner.
During the event, Adriana Savino Lloreda, manager of the Radisson Royal Cali Hotel, in Colombia, was recognized as the general manager of the year of the chain in Latin America.
The meeting also served to present the results obtained in 2012 and the projections of 2013, later a conference chaired by travel managers was presented in which the issue of taking advantage of the corporate travel market was addressed, both regionally and internationally.
According to the CEO of ATP International, a company that specializes in the organization of events and congresses of international companies, meeting tourism is executed 80% in hotel facilities and only 20% in convention centers or other spaces. "This niche should be taken advantage of by hotels," he said.
