The first hotel of the firm Wyndham Hotel Group in Ecuador, has recently announced its opening in the city of Guayaquil, which marks a new milestone in its goal of expansion in Latin America.
This establishment, located in one of the most touristic cities in the country, has 179 rooms and is located a few meters from the historic center of Santa Ana and the Malecon 2000. It is also close to the Simón Bolívar Convention Center, the Guayaquil World Trade Center and the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport.
Wyndham Hotel Group plans to open eight more franchised properties in the country over the next ten years.
The company intends to extend its brand throughout the Latin American market, an example of which are the first two hotels of the firm in Costa Rica that opened in December 2012 and the establishments about to open in Colombia and Nicaragua, scheduled to open their doors in 2014.
The chain has 7,380 hotels in its portfolio and at the end of March 2013 it had 13,600 rooms in 107 hotels distributed throughout Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean under various brands.
