The consulting firm Global Hospitalaty Service (HVS) in team with the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) organizes and invites hospitality professionals to the Third Caribbean Conference on Hotel Investment and Tourism – Chicos 2013.
The event will take place at the Hard Rock hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on November 7 and 8.
According to Parris Jordan, managing director of HVS for the Caribbean and executive director of Chicos 2013, the conference aims to attract the main professionals of the hospitality business and bring them together with the most outstanding investment firms that are currently looking for opportunities in the region.
For the third edition of the conference, more than 400 representatives of companies in the field that have shown interest in Dominican tourism have been confirmed. The organization of the contest expects that in total about 1000 representatives of the guild from all over the world will participate.
Jordan explained that the Dominican Republic represents 25% of the total number of people who visit the Caribbean and, he said, attracts half of the investments planned in the region. "It is the destination on which attention should be focused," he concluded.
This initiative supports the Dominican government's goals of achieving ten million tourists in the next ten years.
