A team was formed by the personnel of the Fire Department of Iguazú and the Civil Defense of the same locality with the aim of working with the hotel companies of the region in risk management and training in emergency situations.
Within the initiative, a series of monthly workshops will be offered to the teams that each company conforms, made up of people who wish to cooperate in prevention tasks as a team with the two entities.
The workshops will focus on tourism and hotel companies. The first meeting was attended by employees of the Duty Free Shop, Iguazú Argentina, Hotel Casino, among other hotels and companies.
In this meeting, the Civil Defense raised the need to have the plans and contingency strategies with which each company operates during an emergency so that, in this way, it can act effectively at the time of a possible contingency.
The hotel and tourism companies summoned presented their preparation and the equipment with which each one counts, and in the same way they committed to participate in the training workshops contributing their technical staff and resources.
According to one of the Trainers of the Civil Defense, during the workshops topics such as search and rescue in nautical sectors, work with ropes in structural fires, first aid, forest fires, handling of chemical substances and toxic gases will be addressed.
The first training workshop will involve around 100 people who work in the security sector of the companies, plus fire personnel and members of Civil Defense.
