Success at IFMA Global LATAM 2025: Mexico City was the epicenter of Facility Management

Mexico. With the participation of leaders, specialists and facility management professionals from all over Latin America, the IFMA Global LATAM 2025 event was successfully held, a regional conference that reinforced the sector's dedication to sustainability, innovation and effective management of real estate assets.

Organized by the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), the meeting was held in Mexico City and presented a high-quality program with keynote talks, technical sessions and areas of professional interaction.

Fundamental learnings and lectures

The educational programme addressed the main challenges of the industry related to the energy transition, digitalisation and space planning strategy.

"Facility Management as a driver of decarbonization in LATAM", by Hernando Piras, from Green Loop Colombia, who shared strategies for sustainable asset management in a market in transformation.

"The evolution of Facility Management in LATAM", presented by Norma Pleitez and Eduardo Becerril, focused on preparing the sector to face the challenges of sustainability and digitalization.

"Pocket buildings: information for decision-making", a conference given by Jorge Luis Hagg, from ABB Mexico, who highlighted the value of data in the intelligent operation of real estate.

Beyond the classroom: experiences and professional networks

The event also provided unparalleled experiences, such as the guided tour of the BBVA Tower and the Torre Mayor, two of the most representative and innovative buildings in Mexico City in terms of operation and sustainability.

In addition, attendees participated in multiple networking sessions that fostered the exchange of ideas, the strengthening of professional networks and the development of new strategic alliances.

A space for the future of Facility Management

IFMA Global LATAM 2025 established its role as a vital platform for the renewal, cooperation and recognition of talent in facilities management in Latin America. The event showed that facility management is a crucial agent in building more robust, efficient and sustainable cities.
