Latin America. The International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) announced its inaugural list of the world's leading influencers in facilities management, which includes 36 professionals working in areas such as sustainability, technology integration, workplace strategy, public health, operations, research and other areas of the profession.
"People spend 90% of their lives indoors: their homes, their workplaces, where they shop and play and play," said Michael V. Geary, CAE, president and CEO of IFMA. "Our top global influencers in FM don't just impact the facility. They are impacting lives and changing them for the better."
The announcement is part of the association's annual recognition of its 45 years of working with facilities professionals worldwide. The list was released ahead of the World Workplace Conference and Expo, which will be held September 17-19, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.
Those selected represent six continents and 13 countries. According to IFMA, through their work and platforms they share ideas and innovations that transcend geography and language, and strengthen the role of facilities management in creating safe, efficient, and adaptable environments.
"These influencers connect cultures, drive trends, and inspire cross-border change," said Christa Dodoo, CFM, FMP, CIWFM, CMQ/OE, Chair of the IFMA Global Board of Directors. "Through their platforms, they share ideas, stories and innovations that impact millions of people, fostering global well-being through the built environment. Its ability to transcend languages and geographies reinforces FM's role in ensuring safe, secure, resilient and efficient facilities."
