Intercontinental Hotels Groups has created an alliance with the American company Orange Lake Resorts based in Florida, in order to create a new timeshare brand, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, which allows the entry of the British group in this segment. The opening of the first property will take place in December. This property will have 2,412 villas and will be located in the city of Orlando, however this facility will be followed by smaller ones: Ascutney, with 60 villas; Lake Geneva, with 68; and Panama City, with 18. Through this partnership, IHG will market the properties and Orange Lake, founder of Holiday Inn, will maintain ownership and continue to operate and develop resorts. According to Intercontinental, timeshare is one of the vacation modalities that is growing the most in the United States.
