The Canadian operator, Conquest Vacations, announced last April the cessation of its operations. This operator with destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America, said that this decision is due to overcapacity and the price war between the main tour operators, as well as unrealistic and unreasonable demands from credit card processing companies, lack of credit and economic turbulence.
According to the information presented by the EFE agency, the company was one of the main Canadian tour operators for Cayo Coco and Varadero, in Cuba; La Romana and Punta Cana, in Santo Domingo; Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, in Mexico, and Roatan, in Honduras.
