In the Central American country, 22 projects for hotel infrastructure are currently being executed, which have an investment of close to US $570 million and will add at least 4,816 new rooms for the tourism sector. According to Prensa Latina, the facilities are divided into the most important sites in the nation: twelve are located in the center of Panama City, three in the Old Town and two in the Amador sector. There are also two projects in the province of Coclé and two in Veraguas. One more is located in the city of David (Chiriquí).
Some of these sites are budgeted to open later this year.
