Between 2014 and 2016 the number of tourists will increase in Rio de Janeiro due to the celebration of the World Cup and the Olympic Games, events that encourage the expansion of the city's hotel offer.According to the requirements of the International Olympic Committee, the olympic venue must have 40,000 rooms, which is why it stimulates the construction of 20,000 more rooms in Rio de Janeiro to reach 48,000 in the next seven years. In this way, the town would have 25,000 rooms in newly built villas, 13,000 hotels, 8,500 in cruise ships and 1,700 in aparthotels.
