In the province of Misiones, several five-star hotel establishments will be built, specifically in the area of the Yryapú Jungle, on the Iguazú River, according to local authorities. The director of tourism of the region, Eduardo Allou, explained that the hotels will be next to the Iguazu River, and will comply with all construction regulations so as not to affect their environment.
Four years ago, in 2006, several hotel chains together with the native Mbyá Guaraní people and the government of Misiones, signed an agreement to create a new tourist place on the Iguazú River (600 hectares) with the condition of respecting the nature of the place and the original inhabitants of the area.
The accommodations would be on the 600 hectares with a unique jungle manifestation. He added that his agency maintains consultations with Ecology to meet the requirements that imply a construction of these characteristics in a place of jungle.
