From the first of August 2010 the appointment of Jim Abrahamson (pictured) and Kirk Kinsell as Executive Directors of the Board of InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) became effective.Both professionals will maintain their current positions as presidents of the Americas and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), respectively.
Abrahamson has 30 years of experience in hotel operations management, branding, development and franchise relationships, including 12 years with Hilton Hotels Corporation.
Kirk brings with him 25 years of knowledge in the hospitality industry. He has served as Chief Development Officer for IHG's American region, and has also been immersed in franchise relationships and brand operations with Holiday Inn Corporation.
David Webster, IHG's non-executive chairman, said Jim and Kirk are highly regarded in the hospitality industry and have vast knowledge in the industry's business and will bring greater executive representation and operational experience to the Board.
