Hotels.com sponsors the Spanish team "Los Guerreros Rojos", thus participating in this action for solidarity purposes
The craziest rally known is about to begin. On July 19, from the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, the Starting Gun will be given to the Mongol Rally 2008, a particular charity race that has already been baptized as the "Dakar of the modest". Hotels.com, the most visited hotel booking website in the world*, sponsors the Spanish team "the Red Warriors", to which it provides the necessary accommodation during their solidarity adventure.
Cars up to 1,000 cc, and that would hardly pass the ITV, will have to travel 16,000 km to reach the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, with the aim of raising funds for solidarity projects. Of the 300 registered teams of all the incones of the globe, 50 will leave from Madrid. Among them is the Red Warriors team that on board its 1990 Seat Marbella faces the challenge without hesitation. They will have to cross 20 countries, three deserts, a sea and places where the word asphalt is just a utopia. However, all the adversities know them little since with their deed they will be helping various NGOs that operate in Central Asia and in a project of integration of immigrants in Madrid.
Through its website www.guerrerosrojos.es you can follow the adventure day by day, make solidarity donations and know all the details of this intrepid team.
