Between January and June of this year the French hotel group increased its turnover by 5.8%, according to its managers. The greatest increase in turnover occurred in economy hotels, with an increase of 6.4% followed by high- and mid-range hotels, with an increase of 6%.
On the other hand, at the end of the second quarter of 2011 (April-June) the increase registered in the chain's turnover was 6.1%, accumulating a total of US$2,327 million. By geographical area, the regions with the highest sales were Asia-Pacific with a growth of 8.1% in the high and medium ranges and 11.7% in the economic range, and Latin America with an increase of 12.3% in the high and medium ranges and 20.4% in the economic range.
Likewise, during this period, among the European countries with the highest turnover were France with an advance of 7.4% in the high and medium segment and 5.7% in the economic segment; Germany with an increase of 2.9% in the high and medium ranges and 2.7% in the economic range, and the United Kingdom where the progression in the high and medium segment was 12% and in the economic segment of 5.8%.
