The Spanish hotel chain NH announced a new investment plan that aims to increase its presence in Latin America, particularly in Brazil and Colombia, according to the company's directives during the opening of its most recent property: the NH Bogotá 93, in the Colombian capital.
The opening plan includes 21 hotels and 2,418 rooms worldwide, 40% of which will operate in franchise mode. In Brazil, a country where NH does not yet have a presence, the possibility of building between 10 and 15 hotels that would join the five that are already planned for Colombia is being studied.
In this country, according to the president of the chain, Mariano Pérez Claver, the growth of the offer in Bogotá is sought, as the city is emerging as one of the most important venues for business tourism in Latin America. "Colombia also has a very important tourist attraction due to the cultural diversity it offers, so we plan to expand our business to the main cities of the country," he explained.
The chain currently has 7,000 rooms in the Americas, particularly in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, the United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
