The month of October again showed positive figures in the three key measures of the industry for the Americas, according to the report presented by STR y STR Global, but they were not higher than the results of September.
The region registered an increase of 2.8% in occupancy, 2.6% less than in September, for an annual average of 62.9%, in the average daily rate (ADR) the percentage was 4% for US$ 106.69, and 6.9% in average income per room (RevPAR) for US $ 67.14.
For the third consecutive month, Miami reported the best results among the region's markets in occupancy with an increase of 9.3% to 74.8%, followed by Alberta, Canada (8.2% for 64.1%) and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (7.4% for 79.2%). Otherwise, Buenos Aires, Argentina, had a drop in this area of 10%.
In ADR, two cities experienced increases of more than 15%: Sao Paulo, Brazil (21.2% for US$147.38) and San Francisco, California (19.4% for US$188.24). In RevPAR, Miami again appears with the highest record (22.4% for US$105.71), followed by Sao Paulo (21.3% for US$102.30).
