Average hotel rates in the world of holiday hotels grew by 8.3% last December , as revealed by the Pegasus Solutions portal in its most recent report.
The corporate sector recorded a moderate figure of 3.2%. North America grew by 5.4%, but in the rest of the world the percentage in the month in question only reached 1.7%.
Where North America did not grow was in the vacation segment, in which hotel rates reached 6.3%, that is, lower than the average, but close to matching its highest record of 2011 which was presented in June with 6.5%.
In the item of reservations for the leisure sector, the figures increased by 3.3%, except in North America, where the figure fell by 5.7%. In business, the global percentage fell 3.4%, and again North America reported a decrease of 4.5%, while in the rest of the world the combined figure was 2.7%.
