Under its Eurostars brand, the Hotusa group plans to open a luxury hotel in Bogotá in 2014, the project contemplates a complex of two towers, one of them being the one that would house the hotel, this would be the first investment of the company in Colombia.
The idea of BD Bacatá is to build the tallest tower in Colombia with 240 meters high that will be divided into 66 floors of which 40 will be used for the hotel; the establishment, which will have a five-star category, will have 323 rooms including 19 suites.
Likewise, it will allocate an area of more than 3,000 square meters to the celebration of events and meetings, offering up to 16 rooms for this purpose. The facilities will be completed with a spa & wellness area of 550 square meters, two gastronomic restaurants and two lounge bars.
For Eurostars Hotel this will be the fourth destination in Latin America, currently the chain is present in Argentina, Peru and Mexico. "Colombia is one of the benchmarks in the emerging Latin American market," says Amancio López Seijas, president of The Hotusa Group.
The project is developed by the Barcelona architecture firm Alonso Balaguer and Arquitectos Asociados. The development of the entire mixed-use complex (residential and hotel) sits on 140,000 square meters of built work.
