From this Wednesday 21 and until Friday 23 March the Asociación Hotelera y Turística de Colombia (Cotelco), will be holding its 58th Annual Assembly in the coffee city of Pereira.
The main topics that will be addressed will be the impact of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on the hotel and tourism sector in Colombia, the balance of 2011 and the goals of the Association for this year.
In the meeting to be held Hotel Movich is expected the participation of senior officials of the National Government, businessmen of the tourism industry, representatives of diplomatic corps and international suppliers.
Jean Claude Bessudo, President of Aviatur; Germán Efromovich, president of the Movich Hotel chain and Stephanie Sonnabend, president of the Sonesta international Hotel Chain, will be present at the Assembly on behalf of the hotel guild.
On the part of the Government, it is expected to have the participation of defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzón; the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Sergio Díaz-Granados; the Deputy Minister of Commerce, Gabriel Duque; the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Oscar Rueda and the president of Proexport Colombia, María Claudia Lacouture.
Other personalities and officials of positions with decision level in the industry will attend the 58th Assembly that Cotelco holds every year to define the guidelines of the sector.
