According to the head of the Hotel Industrial Association of Paraguay, Mónica Caballero, the establishments preferred by tourists for the approaching Holy Week are those that operate under the modality of boutique hotel.
That is what makes us think of the new hotels that have recently opened in the capital of that country. The facilities of the Hidden, the Pantanal Inn and Monte Cristo were enabled a few days ago with a view to the Major Week of Catholic visitors.
These are spaces of up to 15 rooms, which offer a differentiated and personalized service due to the reduced capacity.
According to Bruna Frohlich, manager of the Pantanal Inn hotel, located in the Mariscal Estigarribia neighborhood, foreigners, who are their target audience, can make reservations now through an account that the company has enabled for this purpose.
Likewise, the Hidden Palace is pre-reserved by a group of 40 people who will arrive from Buenos Aires for Holy Week.
According to the National Secretariat of Tourism of Paraguay (Senatur), in Holy Week 2011 the average occupancy of hotels in the Paraguayan capital was 52% and of hotels in the interior 88%; Likewise, the number of tourists in the country in that same period grew by 11.76% compared to 2010, a figure that Senatur expects to exceed this year.
