By the end of 2012, the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide hotel chain expects an increase in revenue of between 2 and 3% for its activities in Spain.
The chain's Marketing Director for Spain and Portugal, Juan Luis Díaz, explained in statements to local media that this rebound in the profits obtained by the hotel company will be driven by the good performance of the market expected for the second half of this year.
The official also noted that financial results for 2012 will be at a level very similar to those reported last year. That is, with a slight decrease in the first months of the year, to rebound in the second half.
Although Díaz referred to the Spanish case specifically, he also noted that the network expects similar behavior from other European countries. In the same way, he explained that given the current economic situation of that region, the reservations of large groups have decreased and last minute guests have increased.
