A 197-room royal decameron-branded hotel in Santa Elena, Ecuador, was recently put into operation, bringing the company to a total of 40 hotel complexes worldwide.
The hotel also has a swimming pool, recreational spaces, wet area, spa and gym. The investment reached US$14 million, of which US$6.1 million was invested in the purchase of the property corresponding to the place where the Punta Centinela hotel operated, closed in recent months.
When the building was auctioned, three companies expressed their interest in acquiring it for later investments. However, it was the firm Decameron that was the only one to achieve the acquisition. The old hotel had a debt of US $ 4.2 million, which forced the final commercial appraisal to be lower than the original.
The value offered by Decameron must be paid in a period not exceeding 15 years with an interest rate equivalent to 8%.
"We have opened a new tourist destination to the world from Ecuador," said Enrique Ponce, general manager of the hotel, during the symbolic delivery of CFN, the firm that owns Punta Centinela, to Decameron.
