With much more than 50% of the remodeling works advanced, the Torre del Caballito, a smart building located in mexico's Federal District, shows radical changes. Of the previous property there is almost nothing left and now it is seen as a modern structure.
Among the remodeling works it can be said that all the rock board walls that once served as a division of spaces were demolished, the staves and the old carpet were removed.
The employee area does not have separation walls, the bosses do, the floor is tile. The electrical installation and fire alarm systems were also changed. But also most of the office furniture (desks, chairs, filing cabinets, etc.) is new.
When it becomes fully operational, the tower will house 7,000 SAT employees.
Some of the elements that this property has to be considered as a smart building are: elevators with a seismic detector that detects any movement of earth and therefore automatically stops the elevator at the nearest stop so that passengers can get off.
Likewise, it is managed by the Building Management System (BMS), which controls all facilities and equipment in a harmonious and efficient way to protect the human life of the tenants. To this system are integrated the systems: electrical, hydro-sanitary, elevators and fire protection and has the ability to control the lighting of the building and the light system is controlled by a system called B3.
