Through the Office of Health Services of Oaxaca (SSO), the buildings of the Interactive Youth And Civil Protection Center of Huajuapan de León were certified as smoke-free buildings, and the Municipal Trail, the Maestro Rafael Ramírez Castañeda Municipal Library and the Huajuapan de León City Council building were recertified.
This was reported by the director of Addiction Prevention of the SSO, Vanesa Cruz Chávez, who clarified that these certifications have been achieved thanks to the rigor with which they have adhered to the General Law for Tobacco Control, through her office, the Regiduría de Salud and the Center for Primary Care for Addictions (CAPA).
These actions are part of a higher plan that seeks to protect the greetings of workers, visitors and users of public buildings and keep them away from the damage that can be caused by involuntarily inhaling tobacco smoke in closed sites.
To give development to this objective, advertisements or signs will be installed that indicate to people that they are in a place where the consumption of tobacco is prohibited.
