Mexico. About 105,000 square meters of new offices have been built in the state of Queretaro, Mexico, during the last three years, according to information revealed to local media El Financiero by spokesmen for the company Cushman & Wakefield. In addition to the above, it is estimated that another 70 thousand square meters are currently under construction.
Cities such as San Luis Potosí, Guadalajara and Querétaro stand out for their high number of new office spaces, but it is important to note that the tendency is that these constructions are not carried out in the center of the city.
José Luis Rubí, research director of Cushman & Wakefield, pointed out that "in cities such as Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Guadalajara, development is not taking place in the historical core of cities, but in the expansion of these."
For his part, Sergio Hinojosa, director of JLL Guadalajara, in statements to the same media said that "the activity in the office real estate market in Guadalajara is going through a transition, we see the arrival of new national and international companies to financial areas of the city".
