Colombia. Headed by Luis Daniel Alvarez comes to Colombia a new option for Facility Management services with the company FMPlus. Gestión de Edificios spoke with Alvarez, who until recently served as coordinator of administrative services of an important company in the hydrocarbons sector and now serves as CEO of FMPlus, about the challenges and opportunities that this sector has in Colombia.
In the first place, the interviewee stressed that one of the main reasons for venturing into the creation of this company was to meet the existing need in the organizational corporate market for services of this type and the ignorance of the discipline of Facility Management in the environment.
"After 10 years of experience as a professional employed in different companies in the Oil and Gas and administrative sector, I found the opportunity to offer the services through my own company and contribute the knowledge acquired in each work done," he said.
Regarding the current market situation in Colombia, Alvarez stressed that there is a great opportunity to reach medium and small companies with the foundation and discipline Facility Management, where the development of this component is fundamental as an ally for the performance of organizations.
"Likewise, if we join forces with new companies that are offering these services we can cover a greater population of entities that need to know more about this discipline," he said.
FMPlus has three lines of business, the first associated with consulting in strategic management models, the second focused on the provision of support and support services for organizations and the third oriented to the design and execution of sustainable and environmentally friendly civil works projects.
