International. "The Future of Work" was the title and central theme of the Workplace Conference, an event held by the company 3G Office in the city of Barcelona during the second week of March. Among the main topics discussed during this meeting were the talks focused on talking about new ways of working, transformation, change management and corporate coworking.
Francisco Vázquez, president of 3g office, was the first professional to address the attendees, highlighting in his speech that "the title of the Workplace Conference is the future of work, although it really should be the present of work, since change is here. It is a reality. We already work differently, whether we like it or not."
For her part, Beatriz Lara, Director of Corporate Transformation for BBVA, was the speaker in charge of the first talk focused on the impact of the digital world on corporations. "The future will be of those organizations that adapt quickly to the continuous changes of the digital field. The decisions taken today will determine, to a large extent, the survivability and / or leadership of companies in the medium and long term, "he said.
Jordi Serrano, founder of Future4work, spoke directly about what can be expected in the future in work environments. "The future of work will offer great opportunities for large numbers of people, but it will also involve a tough fit for many more – most who do not yet have the skills they will need or are ready for an environment of constant change in which lifelong employment will no longer be the norm."
Technology also had a Patagonian place in the conferences. Antonio Heras, director of Workplace Innovation Group, pointed out that "between 25 and 30% of workers are Mobile Workers and companies do not support them sufficiently."
