Chile. The Nuevo Pudahuel consortium will be in charge of the operation of the Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, thanks to the award by the government of Chile of a 20-year concession contract. During this period of time the consortium will be responsible for implementing improvement and renovation plans that make the terminal more competitive.
The consortium, made up of the companies Aérports de Paris, Vinci Airports and Astaldi, will have among its responsibilities the renovation of the current facilities of the airport, including the restoration and expansion of the existing terminal.
In addition, they will have to implement a plan for the design, financing and construction of a new terminal of 175,000 square meters in order to increase the annual passenger capacity. Likewise, they will be responsible for the airport operation during the term of the concession.
