Argentina. With a four-star establishment that will be part of the international chain Accor, Cristóbal López will add to his empire the first hotel of the Casino Club chain of gambling halls. The inauguration was a few days ago in Santa Rosa. It is an imposing building, eight floors, located at the entrance to the Pampas capital.
The Santa Rosa hotel will carry the Mercure brand, which is part of the French group Accor, one of the largest chains in the world.
With 87 rooms, it will offer among the 12 suites, one presidential. It has 7,000 square meters, two swimming pools and spa. The construction is covered with marble and stones brought from Patagonia. The investment was 250 million pesos.
When presenting the hotel, the president of Casino Club, Ricardo Benedicto said that "at the time the lack of investment in this city by the company was questioned, and that motivated us to formulate a proposal when the extension of the concession was negotiated. The sine qua non condition was that we did the work, and here it is, almost ready."
Strictly speaking, the Social Security Institute of La Pampa benefited Casino Club twice: it extended the contract until 2029 (it expired in 2014) and, in addition, allowed it to build a hotel-casino. In La Pampa, Casino Club pays an annual fee of $ 16.5 million and monopolizes gambling: you can not open another casino in provincial territory.
