Colombia. Since the works of the Plaza La Serrezuela in Cartagena began on July 15, approximately 60% of the first phase of construction, related to the deep foundation, has been completed.
This was reported by Jacques Simhon, deputy manager of the La Serrezuela project, who explained that this first stage is developed by the hand of the company Galante, and consists of melting the perimeter screens and piles of the structure.
"This phase, which is the most delicate and annoying, should end in January next year," he said. Once it is completed, the excavation and lifting phase of the new cultural, commercial and entertainment center begins.
He stressed that to date the work schedule is fulfilled to satisfaction, which will allow its total delivery in mid-2018.
The new cultural, commercial and entertainment center will feature bars, restaurants and upscale brand venues from the United States and Europe.
More than 200 billion pesos were invested in this project, whose idea is to maintain the original structure of the old bullring.
With the structure rebuilt, 2,900 square meters will be available for cultural and entertainment events, with a capacity for 1,900 spectators, 9,000 square meters for commercial premises and a food area, and 2,300 square meters of terraces.
The commercial area will have an area of 9,840 square meters, which would become 100 commercial premises.
