Colombia. On April 21 will be held in the Fabio Lozano Auditorium of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University Classroom 360º: Third International Meeting on Environments and Learning Experiences, a free event to reflect and feed the dialogue on the educational spaces of Colombia, which includes among its programming the participation of national and foreign experts, four conferences and three working groups.
The distribution of space, green areas, rest areas, light entering through the window, low temperatures, the color of the walls or the inclination of the chair affect the performance and concentration of the student, and become complementary tools of pedagogical methods. Therefore, guests such as the American architect Peter Brown, will talk about the benefits of the relationship between architects and educators in school planning, even touching on the importance of furniture in student learning; or as the Spanish engineer David Martínez, global director of the international consultancy FMHOUSE, specialized in facility management, will guide the discussion of Aula 360º to identify the key variables of today's educational environment.
As part of a dynamic of innovation in products for schools, universities and libraries, the furniture design, manufacturing and marketing company Kassani Diseño undertook in 2011 this research on the classroom in which it invites experts and institutions to talk about academic scenarios to record their most important findings in the book
Aula 360°: Environments and learning experiences, which will launch its second edition that same day before all attendees.
"Kassani has long since decided to transcend the craft of 'making chairs' to invest its energies and knowledge in building a better future. This has involved numerous changes, such as the implementation of more interdisciplinary dynamics and more collaborative processes. The number of voices that have been called to participate in the project is a reliable proof of this, as well as of our deep faith in the collective construction of knowledge," says Jorge Vergel, CEO of Kassani Diseño.
Despite the transformations, education in our country still follows traditional paradigms that do not keep pace with the changes of the generations. Aula 360º was born in order to think and build a better education from the infrastructure, from a multidisciplinary base that makes it more robust, complete and heterogeneous.
