International. Infor has just released its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), version 11.2, to optimize the management of physical assets and maintenance processes in companies.
"It provides the functionality needed by all market sectors and enables faster and more efficient maintenance services," said Mike Stone, product manager, Infor EAM. "In addition, it offers functionalities to track and record incidents through workflow tasks and follow up of work orders."
This new version provides considerable optimizations to many of the core functionalities and delivers greater advantages to the facility management, hospitality, transit, fleet and manufacturing sectors.
The main improvements are:
- Case management: The new Case Management feature allows users to log in to accidents, emissions, operator notes, modification notes and other records, without the need to make a work order. This establishes an audit log of the case or incident, which allows the user to create workflow tasks or follow-up work orders related to the existing case. This capability makes it easier than ever to audit an event (such as an accident), ensuring that all associated documentation is easily accessible and available.
- Management of keys and keys: This function allows users to have the possibility to have the traceability of the keys and associate them with assets, locks, employees and key rings. When these are lost, Infor EAM allows you to have detailed data to create new ones.
- Reserves of physical assets: The new asset reserve is designed to allow users to request and reserve any type of asset, such as vehicles, cranes, conference rooms and various equipment. With Infor EAM 11.2 all asset reserves can be directly linked to work orders and projects, making it easier to trace and manage them.
- New recruitment service portal: This module allows users to establish a secure access point for contractors, allowing them to send and receive updates of activities and work orders. Contractors can submit estimated data, notes and other required details as well as update costs and order status. This optimizes efficiency and decreases the time to complete work, Infor EAM also provides automatic order assignment for the contractor based on geography and type of work.
- Workplace management: With this, users can define, assign and track workplaces and their furniture. This allows organizations to plan and execute moves that involve multiple employees more efficiently. Workspace management is integrated with call center operations, key, team and employee management. This function optimizes the planning of space moves and achieves a more efficient execution.
- Consolidated Call Center: This latest version of Infor EAM includes an updated call center with better features and more efficiency. A service delivery matrix can now be established, to immediately issue work orders for specific contractors by identifying the location and type of request. This feature decreases the time to complete the order, eliminating phone calls and decreasing stationery.
