Since 2013, a bank has aimed to manage the security of its more than 700 branches from its monitoring center located in Bogotá. To do this, the bank needs a single platform that allows it to manage both video systems and other third-party systems already implemented in the agency network.

The bank implemented the solution proposed by SCATI as it allows it to comply with the Basic Legal Circular (C.E. 029/2014), by which financial institutions must protect all their customer service channels against fraud and reputation risks through video surveillance systems. This regulation requires bank branches and ATMs to record images and keep them for a minimum period of eight months. In the case of ATMs, in addition, each economic transaction must be associated with the corresponding images to ensure the traceability of operations.
The SCATI suite is an IP video platform that allows integration with other systems already installed in branches (alarm system, IP lock systems, etc.) facilitating the integral management of the security of the office network from a single platform that minimizes the costs associated with daily operations. During the last three years, the entity has installed in its network of offices more than 260 SCATI VISION video recording platforms (of 8 and 16 cameras). Scati Watcher and Scati Round
For the remote and simple administration of this entire park of video recorders, the entity chooses to incorporate the SCATI WATCHER application in its control center. SCATI WATCHER allows any of the nine operators working in the operations center to manage the security of the entire office network in an intelligent way. Thanks to SCATI WATCHER any specialized operator can view real-time images and/or recorded video, configure equipment, manage alarms and plans, etc.
Due to the large number of video recorders installed, it is essential to have the central advanced management tool, SCATI ROUND, which allows you to control their status. SCATI ROUND allows automated and remote maintenance of all equipment, which facilitates the preventive detection of failures in the devices. It is also the key element for the management of a scalable system that allows to program massive operations on groups of recorders, such as configurations, updates, etc.
SCATI adapts to the needs of the bank and develops new security systems for the storage of SCATI VISION, ensuring compliance with customer needs. From the Bank's Control Center, operators have real-time control of the status of the equipment and are able to diagnose any incident that may arise remotely. These powerful advanced management tools allow remote software updates of the entire set of recorders, execute tasks on them (time synchronization, automatic mass downloads and the collection of any type of data on the video recorders (location, failures, etc.).
The versatility of the platform allows you to perform searches, access the recorded video, view statistics and generate reports in real time before any legal requirement. All these functionalities are reflected in a significant saving of the resources necessary to manage the network of offices and its maintenance and, therefore, allows to save thousands of US dollars per year to the entity.
