Colombia. The country's economic growth, and investment in construction have been just two of the many drivers that have made Architecture and Interiors (AEI) a leading company in the design and construction of corporate spaces. Its success and growth goes hand in hand with each of the people who are part of it and are under the direction of Andrés Velasco, general manager who in recent years has achieved a strategic management that responds to business dynamics.
As a reason for the 20th birthday of Architecture and Interiors, Andrés Velasco testifies to the achievements and dreams that come with working in this Colombian company.
Andrés, what does it mean for AEI to turn 20 in Colombia?
An innovative dream and business vision has materialized that has meant a positive impact during these 20 years; generating among entrepreneurs in Colombia and the region a greater awareness about the importance of having pleasant, functional, efficient and sustainable workspaces, through the implementation of designs that integrate the most modern ways of working.
What do you think is the greatest achievement today?
There are many, but I would emphasize that we are a Colombian company at the height of the large firms in the interior industry worldwide, executing projects with the highest standards of quality and compliance, thanks to the talent and professionalism of our entire team of collaborators.
I believe that with this we have not only contributed to the development of the architecture sector but also to the growth of the country, by accrediting the first professionals in Colombia to certify their projects in WELL and LEED; certifications that seek, respectively, human well-being in workspaces and the development of sustainable environmental constructions.
What's next?
Many new projects are coming, but our main challenge is to continue to be recognized as leaders and pioneers, and consolidate our process of commercial expansion to other markets in the region.
