International. The enerTIC platform will hold in Barcelona on October 27 the forum "IoT: Energy Efficiency & Sustainability" in which it will analyze how the Internet of Things improves energy efficiency and sustainability.
EnerTIC recalls that "digital transformation reaches our entire environment" and that the Internet of Things is its maximum exponent. "Within 10 years we will have 50 billion connected objects that will play a fundamental role in the strategy of improving energy efficiency and sustainability in all areas of our society."
In this sense, the connectivity and sensorization of the objects "that surround us will mean a revolution in the way in which we obtain information and optimize the management of Smart Cities, Indrustry 4.0, Smart Grids and Smart Vehicles. To manage this network of millions of connected objects, it will be necessary to optimize the energy efficiency of the equipment and the methods of transmission, storage and analysis of the data generated."
To this end, specific transmission technologies are emerging and more efficient Smart Data Centers are being developed. "The data obtained through IoT will help us monitor and improve the energy cat and increase sustainability through the digitalization of energy or Smart Energy."
Integrators, consultants and facility management companies will be responsible for designing complete solutions that offer a simple and personalized management to each case of IoT infrastructures. And the proliferation of technology will enable the creation of new business models for both data collection and application.
