International. IBM has announced a collaboration agreement with Técnicas Reunidas for the development of Materials Inspect, a mobile application created with IBM MobileFirst for iOS technology for its inspectors.
The objective of this app is to reduce the inspection cycles of materials and suppliers and bring efficiency to the process through recommendations based on analytics.
Técnicas Reunidas is an international contractor engaged in the engineering, design and construction of all types of industrial facilities for a broad spectrum of customers around the world. In its 50-year history, the company has designed and built more than 1,000 industrial plants in more than 57 countries. Its clients include many major state-owned and multinational oil companies.
With the Materials Inspect app on iPad, facility inspectors around the world will have immediate access to complex technical documents and transaction information from internal systems.
