Colombia. Citi Colombia received LEED certification in the Gold category for Commercial Interiors in three of its branches located in the city of Bogotá; Certification in sustainable construction is delivered by the United States Sustainable Building Council (USGBC).
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, in force since 1998, recognizes buildings that are environmentally efficient, that ensure the proper use of energy and water consumption, as well as the management of waste and the use of recycled materials, thus contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint and the emission of gases that generate the greenhouse effect.
The certified branches are located on Calle 92 with 11, Calle 82 with 11 and Calle 82 with 9 in the El Retiro Shopping Center, in the city of Bogotá. With this Gold category seal, these spaces become three of the first five Citi branches to be certified in Latin America and the first three bank branches to be leed certified in Colombia.
