Latin America. Building on the company's focus on the B2B market, Panasonic's product and solution offering in Mexico has strengthened in recent years. Examples of this variety are the lighting solutions available through Panasonic ULT, a sister company of Panasonic de México, which is distinguished by covering the entire spectrum of market needs, from products for the electrician, components for the OEM industry, to the development of customized projects for various companies and organizations.
Panasonic ULT is presented at ELA Expo Lighting America 2017 with the aim of publicizing its entire portfolio of products, components and solutions to architects, engineers, designers and construction companies in the country.
This company is part of Panasonic Corporation and was born from the acquisition of three specialized companies, Universal Lighting Technologies, Vossloh Schwabe and Douglas Lighting Controls, whose experience, technology and manufacturing capacity add up to create Panasonic ULT.
"Panasonic Corporation's vision in acquiring these three companies was key to competing in the international market, as more than 200 years of accumulated experience now offer our customers. We have from a reliable product for the electrician to make a repair, to the ability to develop a comprehensive OEM solution for a manufacturer or design a specific project for a company with specific lighting and energy management needs, "says Jorge Trejo, Director of International Sales of Panasonic ULT.
Mexico is a key market for Panasonic ULT, with a large presence as a supplier of ballasts for the distribution channel and recognition as a supplier of high specification components in the OEM industry.
"We have the challenge of increasing our market share in Mexico with LED lighting products and solutions. To do this, we must strengthen our communication, expand our distribution channels, generate more links with different business sectors and, above all, spread the new culture of lighting among all the actors in the industry, "says Jorge Trejo.
LED technology offers intrinsic values that go beyond its performance as a light source. Direct energy savings, which fluctuate between 50% and up to 80%, and minimal heat generation, which means less need for ventilation and air conditioning, resulting in additional savings in electricity consumption. "Globally, LED products represent 65% of Panasonic ULT's business, hence our confidence to grow in the Mexican market," adds Jorge Trejo.
