International. The Seville Tower, a CaixaBank project, has obtained the Leed Gold certificate that recognizes buildings that have incorporated sustainable and high-efficiency criteria in their operation and maintenance.
The obtaining of this international certification by this Spanish building has recognized methods such as the use of materials with low emission, filter system, Waste Management Plan, use of renewable sources, glass façade or rainwater harvesting system.
Thanks to its centralized management system it is possible to control all the mechanical and electrical installations of the building, such as air conditioning, lighting and energy meters.
One of its criteria has been the use of a centralized system of the Torre Sevilla to manage 60,000 control points to reduce energy consumption and emissions by 30%. Light regulation systems have also been installed that allow the light coefficient to be automatically adjusted in each circumstance, allowing 75% of all the regularly occupied spaces of the Torre Sevilla to reach the optimal lighting levels for the work of its users, according to the strict compliance criteria of the Leed seal.
