The announcement was made by the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism. According to Flavio Dino, president of the Tourism Institute of the Embratur government, "we will not intervene in the laws of the market, but we cannot allow abuses either."

As reported by AFP, the monitoring of prices will be carried out in 12 cities in which the World Cup will be held within which there are six cities in which the Confederations Cup will be held, which will be held between June 15 and 30.
The tourism entity promised to publicize the tariff ranges that must be handled during these events, this range will be defined by FIFA in dialogue between businessmen and government in order not to harm the image of the country.
