Colombia. How many times a day do we use components, from the smallest to the largest that have been soldiers? In a world where technology advances by leaps and bounds, it is necessary to constantly update society about processes that are very useful for their daily lives.
Therefore, the Colombian Association of Welding and Non-Destructive Testing (ACOSEND), wants to provide a contemporary business context in the field of welding and non-destructive testing (semi-automatic and automatic welding, digital radiography, ultrasound, among others), in addition to showing innovation in technological advances that are currently being developed worldwide and that involve this type of processes.
This is the main objective of the VII Congress of Welding and Non-Destructive Testing that will be held on October 10 and 11 at the District Institute for Recreation and Sport (IDRD) of the capital of the country, as a continuation of the work carried out by ACOSEND over 23 years in which it has promoted and fostered through national and international cooperation, the scientific and technological development of welding and non-destructive testing.
Within the framework of the VII Congress, a commercial exhibition is also presented as a meeting point, business center, connection of the academy with the industry, conducive to the participation of multiple related companies that want to open their market and give positioning to the brand against the competition.
This VII Congress is the precise space where ACOSEND as "Certifying Entity of Inspectors", accredited in the area by the Colombian government, intends that small, medium and large companies in the industry share results to develop both a better quality, as well as a decrease in costs and in this way achieve a better image of the Colombian market in the area before the rest of the world.
Additionally, thanks to the management of ACOSEND, Colombia has earned the headquarters of the 6th Pan American Congress of Non-Destructive Testing (COPAEND) to be held in 2015 in the city of Cartagena and which is supported by PROEXPORT, where it is intended to make a block at the Latin American level with greater consolidation to take the technology and complement processes of the national and international industry.
