They offer scholarships to specialize the sector

 

Beca en turismoThe Ministry of Tourism of Mexico (Sectur) recently signed an alliance with two international universities, in order to offer scholarships for Mexicans interested in pursuing postgraduate studies in the area of hotel management in countries such as Australia, China, Switzerland and Spain.

According to Sectur, the objective is to contribute to the professionalization of the actors in this sector to raise tourism competitiveness in the country.

The agreement was with the universities Les Roches International School of Hotel Management and Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School. The formalization meeting was attended by Gloria Guevara Manzo, Secretary of Tourism and Fabienne Rollandin, Director of Industry Relations at Les Roches.

As expressed by the Secretariat, the two universities have a rigorous and quality academic program and as an added value offer the possibility of carrying out professional practices in the best hotel organizations in the aforementioned countries.

For the representative of that portfolio in the Aztec country, the State is responsible for promoting competitiveness in a sector that takes on the greatest importance in the economic dynamics of a country like Mexico.

For his part, Rollandin said, through a statement issued by Sectur, "we are proud to sign this agreement with the Ministry of Tourism and contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Mexican tourism sector through the training of professionals based on a solid academic background combined with an enriching practical experience in some of the best tourist destinations in the world, "- Said.

The call, which offers scholarships of a coverage of 50% of the total amount of the tuition, will be open until mid-April.
