In recent days , the 50th Congress of the International Hotel & Restaurant (IH&RA) was officially presented, which will be held in Peru in 2013.
The event will be organized by the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Related (Now Peru) and the Professional School of Tourism and Hospitality of the University of San Martín de Porres (USMP), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
The IH&RA is a global organization composed of more than 150,000 establishments from 150 countries around the world and has an official recognition of the United Nations (UN).
The organizers of the event have announced that this industry efficiently boosts global economic growth by being comprised of 300,000 hotels, eight million restaurants and 70 million employees. It is a sector that contributes about US $ 950,000 million to the world economy.
According to the dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Tourism and Psychology of the USMP, Johan Leuridan Huys, when the president of the IH&RA, Ghassan Aïdi visited Peru, especially Lima, he was amazed by everything that country can offer in the tourist, gastronomic and hotel aspect.
