In the municipality of Huamanga, Peru, a series of workshops and talks have been held with the aim of training the administrators and employees of different hotels and restaurants on the quality of customer service.
The perspective is to offer the best attention with a view to the arrival of tourists in Holy Week. Topics such as hygiene, warmth and hospitality are part of the academic program that is being carried out these days among the actors of the horeca industry in that Peruvian city.
According to the Sub-Management of Commerce and Markets, in different operations carried out in recent days it was observed that many establishments do not meet the quality of service required to be at the height of receptive tourism. "It can even be said that in some organizations practices are carried out that threaten the health of users by providing services in poor condition," they indicate from the entity.
This proposal is carried out at the initiative of Mayor Amilcar Huancahuari Tueros and has the support of the Health Network and the Association of Restaurants and Hotels. The workshops have been attended by more than 200 companies in the sector, as it is expected that at the end of the series of trainings the participants can be recognized through a seal or a certificate as healthy companies.
