With the firm intention of becoming the Peruvian city of fairs and conventions, Arequipa was presented to the public the project of the new Business Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIA) of Arequipa.
It is a modern building that will be designed and built with the highest technology that gives the construction smart property. The building will cost more than US$4.5 million.
As announced by Juan Carlos Calderón, president of the CCIA, this architectural proposal will serve to benefit various audiences and to organize different academic, business and cultural events.
The establishment will consist of five floors, among which two basements and an auditorium with capacity for 400 people will stand out. It will be located on a plot consisting of 6,500 square meters.
In recent days, an officialization ceremony was held at the beginning of construction in which, as a symbol of the undertaking of the process, the first stone was laid.
The ceremony was attended by the manager of the CCIA, Rafael Chirinos, the former presidents, Julio Morriberón and Reynaldo Roberts, who stressed the importance of this modern Business Center for the development of Arequipa.
